1. WHAT THIS PRIVACY POLICY COVERS

This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) and other types of information that we gather when you are accessing or using our Website, but not to the practices of companies we don’t own or control, or people that we don’t manage. We gather various types of Personal Information from our users, as explained in more detail below, and we use this Personal Information internally in connection with our website, including to personalize, provide, and improve our services, to fulfill your requests for certain product and service information, and to analyze how you use the Website. In certain cases, we may also share some Personal Information with third parties, but only as described below.

Our Website is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. We will seek to delete any personal information collected that we later determine to be from a user younger than the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian of a child under the age of 13 and believe he or she has disclosed personal information to us, please contact George Barlas at 416-743-5384.

2. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post the revised policy here. We suggest that you periodically consult this Privacy Policy, as we will notify you by means of a notice on this Website prior to the change becoming effective. Your continued use of the Website after any changes to the Privacy Policy have been posted constitutes your agreement to the changes.

3. INFORMATION PROVIDED AND HOW IT IS USED

We receive and store information you enter on our Website or provide us in certain other ways:

a. Information You Provide To Us

We receive and store any information you provide to us. For example, through the inquiry form, we may collect Personal Information such as your name and email address. We may communicate with you if you’ve provided us the means to do so. For example, if you’ve given us your email address, if you have agreed to receive promotional messages where permitted by law, we may send you promotional email offers regarding our products and services, or email you about your use of the Website. If you do not want to receive commercial communications from us, please indicate your preference by emailing sales@hanfordlumebr.com. We may also collect and use your Personal Information for other purposes which are permitted or required by applicable law, or which we disclose to you and you consent.

b. Information Collected Automatically

Whenever you interact with our Website, we automatically receive and store certain types of information, which may include the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; computer and connection information, such as browser type, version and timezone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system, and platform; the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) clickstream to, through, and from our website, including date and time; the telephone number used to call our customer service number; during some visits we may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page.

Like many websites, we may also use browser data such as “cookies,” or similar data to obtain certain types of information when your web browser accesses the Website. “Cookies” are identifiers we transfer to your browser or device that allow us to recognize your browser or device and tell us how and when pages and features in our Website are visited and by how many people. We may use this data to improve the Website – for example, this data can tell us how often users use a particular feature of the Website, and we can use that knowledge to make the Website interesting to as many users as possible. We also do not currently use online behavioral tracking advertising on our Website.

You may be able to change the preferences on your browser or device to prevent or limit your device’s acceptance of cookies. The “help” portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. Additionally, you can disable or delete similar data used by browser add-ons, such as Flash cookies (also known as Flash Local Shared Objects), by changing the add-on’s settings or visiting the website of its manufacturer.

We may also use Google Analytics to monitor and analyze the use of our Website. Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Website. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

You can opt-out of having your activity on the Website made available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics browser add-on at: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This opt-out browser add-on for the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) provides the ability to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics.

For more information on the use of Google Analytics and how it collects and processes our website data, visit the site “How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps”, located at www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/.

  • Business Transfers: As we continue to develop our business, we might sell or buy stores, subsidiaries, or business units. In such transactions, Personal Information generally is one of the transferred business assets. Also, in the event that Hanford or all or a portion of its assets are acquired, or should any such transfer be proposed, Personal Information will be one of the transferred assets.
  • De-identified Information: We may de-identify your Personal Information so that you are not identified as an individual, and provide that information to third parties without restriction.
