Spruce (CSP) &Fir (DFP) Plywood
Hanford Lumber supplies high-quality CSP (Canadian Softwood Plywood) and DFP (Douglas Fir Plywood), manufactured to strict CSA (Canadian Standards Association) standards. These panels are produced by APA (The Engineered Wood Association) and PFS TECO-certified mills, ensuring reliable strength, durability, and long-term performance. Douglas Fir Plywood (DFP), manufactured under CSA O121, is known for its superior strength, stiffness, and resistance to impact, making it ideal for demanding structural applications. Canadian Softwood Plywood (CSP), manufactured under CSA O151, is a versatile and lightweight option that provides excellent durability for general construction. Both types of plywood use a cross-laminated construction technique, improving dimensional stability and preventing warping while also offering moisture resistance. Constructed with waterproof adhesives, CSP and DFP panels meet exterior bond classification requirements, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
CSP and DFP plywood panels are available in multiple grades to suit a variety of applications. Un-sanded sheathing panels provide structural integrity for walls, roofs, and floors, while smooth sanded panels offer a refined finish for interior applications. These panels are widely used in subflooring, engineered assemblies, and concrete formwork, where strength and moisture resistance are critical. Specialty options include fire-retardant-treated panels for enhanced fire safety and pressure-treated panels for increased protection against decay and insects in exterior environments. Their lightweight nature and ease of installation make them a preferred choice for contractors, builders, and engineers who require durable and high-performing materials.
With superior performance in strength, load-bearing capacity, and long-term durability, CSP and DFP plywood are essential materials in construction projects that demand reliability and efficiency. Hanford Lumber ensures that every panel meets the highest industry standards, providing customers with the assurance of quality and longevity.
